Vigilant Police officers in Apapa Area Command of Lagos State has intercepted a 40-foot container loaded with drugs assumed to be Tramadol and Codeine.
According to reports, the container was ambushed on water after which, it was taken to a bonded terminal in Apapa.
It was also gathered that a team of officers from Customs and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) joined the Area B Commander, Olasoji Akinbayo, for inspection and investigation of the container on Thursday, August 6.
The intercepted vessel is expected to be handed over to appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
