Gone are the days when songwriters are behind the scene. They now enjoy publicity as artistes now mention their names and give them credit.
A few Nigerians on Twitter have decided to appreciate Davido for making it possible for songwriters in Nigeria to get credit.
This is as a result of a tweet by musician and songwriter, Moelogo, who wrote a song on Tiwa Savage’s newly released album, ‘Celia’.
Moelogo had tweeted:
“Writing Celia’s song was extremely emotional to a point that I had to ask myself what’s happening.. Myself and Tiwa didn’t even speak prior but oi saw her 10 mins before & i could just tell she needed something & but i guess i connected because i was in pain too. I told @fozadoza”
Then a Twitter user identified as Wande retweeted his tweet with the comment:
“I like how all writers are coming out now! No more GHOSTWRITING and artistes are now giving credit to their writers.. THANK YOU DAVIDO”
Another Twitter user identified as Semilore replied:
“So song writers can come out to claim they wrote a song. Davido Thank you.”
