Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has reacted to Tuesday’s car accident involving his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Obaseki in his reaction, condoled with Oshiomhole, the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) governorship candidate in Edo State, Osagie Iye-Iyamu, and the APC over the incident.
The Governor also commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and prayed for a quick recovery for those injured.
Obaseki in his statement on Tuesday, prayed God to grant the families of those affected the fortitude to bear the loss and wished quick recovery of those who were injured and are receiving treatment.
It will be recalled as previously reported that Oshiomhole and his convoy were involved in a car accident on Tuesday at Oluku junction while heading for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign in Usen community.
Two policemen were killed in the accident, two others were injured while vehicles in the convoy including the one conveying Oshiomhole himself were damaged.
Oshiomhole himself described the accident as an assassination attempt on his life.
