Former Governor of Ekiti State and gubernatorial hopeful for 2022 election, Engineer Segun Oni will be distributing rice and money to indigenes of the state today at Ado Ekiti, the State Capital.
He explained to Metropolix Online that he understands how people feel and the economic situation of the country and known fully that people will want to celebrate, so he decided to assist in his own little way.
Well loved by Ekiti people for his transparency during his first time as the governor of Ekiti State, a Civil Servant Mr. Tunde Oke said, “I have absolute assurance in Segun Oni and just when I heard about this gestures, I know Segun Oni will always be who he is, this is the only governor whose tenure was basically to lift Ekiti State up and we civil servants can’t wait to have him back.”
“I’m appealing to all Ekiti indigenes to make this Easter a violent free celebration. It’s the best time to reflect on our past and think of what awaits us in the future, greater things are coming to Ekiti and very soon. May the purity of the blood shed on this remarkable day clears away all our impurities. Happy Easter to all Ekiti people home and in diaspora.” Oni said.
