According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Trust TV on Friday, July 3, 2026, ADC chieftain Solomon Dalung said he does not support calls for President Bola Tinubu to resign despite the controversy surrounding the alleged fictitious government agency.

Speaking during the interview, Dalung argued that the President should remain in office and face public scrutiny instead of stepping down. He maintained that democratic accountability requires elected leaders to answer questions from citizens and critics whenever controversies arise.

Dalung said, “I’m not among those asking him to resign. I want him in office so that we can advise him.” He added that keeping the President in office would allow the opposition to continue criticizing government policies and present Nigerians with an alternative ahead of the 2027 general election.

The ADC chieftain also called for a transparent and independent investigation into the allegations surrounding the agency. According to him, government institutions must identify those responsible and ensure that anyone found culpable is held accountable.

Dalung further argued that the controversy has raised serious concerns about the credibility of public institutions and the processes used to establish government agencies. He urged the administration to restore public confidence by conducting a thorough investigation and making its findings available to Nigerians.

He insisted that transparency and accountability remain essential to strengthening governance and protecting public trust in government institutions.
