CJPAN Elects New Executives; Funmi Olowosegun Emerges President To Succeed Ola Mohammed

It was free and fair election today, Monday 16th as the Celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) successfully conducted its 2nd executive election. Funmi Olowosegun, publisher of Buzz News eventually emerged as the association’s President.
Olowosegun, who previously held the position of Vice President, defeated Oluwaseun Samson Fabiyi of Bethnews Magazine by securing 11 of the 16 total votes casted, while Fabiyi got 5.
The electoral process held both physically and online was led by CJPAN’s Electoral Chairman, Ebenezer Ojo, and monitored by an invited observer, Bunmi Obarotimi, who announced the final result. Ebenezer Ojo after announcing the winner said; “In my capacity as Electoral Chairman, I am pleased to declare Mrs. Funmi Olowosegun the winner of this presidential election.”
Other executive members elected unopposed include:
Tony Okpe, African Custodian Magazine — Vice President
Akin Shokoya, Giraffe Magazine — Treasurer
Adaobi Promise, Blissful Affairs Magazine — Financial Secretary
Sunday Adeyemi, Society Herald Magazine — Provost
The new executive team is expected to steer CJPAN forward in the next administrative tenure, strengthening unity and professionalism within the celebrity journalists’ community.
