Lagos Appeal Court has upheld the tribunal rulling by allowing Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat to resume their positions as the state’s governor and deputy governor, respectively.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) appeal was unanimously dismissed by the Court of Appeal Justices as being without substance/merit.

Justice Paul Bassey, Justice Samuel Bola, and Justice Yargata Nimpa gave the verdict.

It was decided that the appellants’ claims against Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat of falsification and non-qualification were unfounded.

“The appellants (PDP and Adeniran) failed to substantiate them, even though they were all pre-election issues. The appellants arrived and departed with nothing. All they did was enjoy their court day. Their petition is dismissed”.
