DSS Arrests Miyetti Allah’s President

The President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over the creation of an unlawful Nomad’s Vigilante Group in Nasarawa State.
Sources revealed that the arrest took place at Miyetti Allah’s Head Office in Nasarawa State, with the military providing support to ensure the suspect did not escape.
The operation began with military troops blocking the Abuja-Keffi Expressway at the Kugbo axis, causing a significant traffic jam. Subsequently, DSS operatives and soldiers invaded Miyetti Allah’s Head Office, arresting Alhaji Bodejo at the gate and taking him into custody.
The arrest is related to the activities of the Nomad’s Vigilante Group, which is deemed illegal.
While the spokesperson for the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunnaya, could not be immediately reached for comments, a senior officer familiar with the operation stated that Bodejo is being questioned about the group’s activities, which are considered illegal and unknown to the laws of the land.
The security community plans to provide updates on the investigation as it progresses.
Alhaji Bodejo had recently disclosed the formation of the Nomad’s Vigilante Group, stating that its members would adhere strictly to the country’s existing laws during their operations.
The group was inaugurated in Lafia, Nasarawa State, with Bodejo urging the vigilantes to collaborate with the police, army, and other security agencies. As of now, Miyetti Allah is yet to issue an official statement on the arrest.
However, Dr. Afunnaya responded to inquiries by stating that “Bello Bodejo is not with the DSS.”
