Funmilayo Omowunmi Loremikan,has once again proven why she stands tall as one of the Nigeria’s most formidable forces in Leadership and mentorship space. On Sunday,November 30th,2025,she was honoured a leadership award at the Prime Exellence recognition Award(PERA)held at the Banquet Hall of the prestigious Lagos Airport Hotel,Ikeja.
This recognition is another shinning feather in the cap of the certified coach and seasoned leader.
Speaking with some journalist at the event,she appreciated the Convener/Publisher for the recognition,I give glory to Almighty God for how far he has taken me,i have just received some awards few days ago and more awards are in view,I am excited and delighted to be here she said.
Funmilayo Omowumi Loremikan is a seasoned leader, mentor, and empowerment advocate with over 30 years of distinguished service in the Maritime, Logistics, Transport, and Supply Chain sectors. Throughout her career at the Nigerian Ports Authority, she has held key roles including Marketing Officer, Tariff & Billing Officer, Personal Assistant to the Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex, and Head of SERVICOM at Calabar Port, where she drove service excellence, operational improvements, and customer satisfaction.
Beyond operational leadership, Funmilayo is passionate about mentorship and professional empowerment. She has guided over 30 young professionals in a single year to successfully start businesses or advance careers in logistics and supply chain, many becoming certified professionals and active members of CILT and ACSC.
Her leadership and influence have been recognized globally, including being named one of the Top 100 Global Ambassadors by CILT in 2019 and one of the Top 100 Influential African Women in Supply Chain in 2022.
