It’s going to be a free landing for the hardworking governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) who is seeking reelection into the office the second time.
The forthcoming election in the state is set to witness a mobilization campaign for the re-election bid of the well loved governor with the inauguration of Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) across all 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs).

In a statement released Friday by the LOC General Secretary, Rt. Hon. Karounwi Oladapo, the committees were established for the “effective coordination and mobilisation of people for the State Endorsement activities at the various Local Governments.”

The committees comprise top government officials, political leaders, and councilors, ensuring broad-based representation. Key appointees include: Ado-Ekiti LGA: Chaired by Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, with Rt. Hon. Bolaji Egbeyemi Olagbaju as Secretary and Chief Bosun Osaloni as Treasurer.

The committee in Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA is headed by Commissioner for Communication Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, with Hon. Femi Akindele as Secretary.

For Ekiti West LGA, Hon. Bode-Adeoye Oyekola Johnson leads the committee, while Efon LGA is chaired by Rt. Hon. Karounwi Oladapo himself.

Other LGAs feature prominent figures such as Hon. Kemi Olaleye (Oye LGA), Hon. Odunayo Omoadura (Ikole LGA), and Hon. Jimilas Kayode (Ise-Orun LGA), among others.

The mobilization drive underscores the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s strategy to consolidate support for Governor Oyebanji ahead of the 2026 elections. The LOCs will spearhead community engagements, rallies, and endorsement programs across the state.
