The Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, has described Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent political moves as a “masterstroke” necessary for the development of the state.

Dr. Oreh, who is the daughter of the former Governor of the state, Dr. Peter Odili, made this known while speaking on the sidelines of a health outreach program in Port Harcourt.

She addressed the critics who have questioned the Governor’s growing closeness to the Presidency and his alignment with President Bola Tinubu. According to her, governance is about bringing results to the people, not fighting unnecessary wars.

”Governor Fubara is a strategic thinker,” Dr. Oreh reportedly stated. “His decision to align with the center and work closely with President Tinubu is not a sign of weakness but of political wisdom. Rivers State cannot afford to be in opposition to the Federal Government if we want to attract massive infrastructure and development.”

The Commissioner noted that the “Strategic Alignment” between Port Harcourt and Abuja is already yielding fruits, citing recent federal approvals for projects in the state.

She urged the youths and women of Rivers State to look beyond the political noise and see the bigger picture.

”The Governor is building a bridge that will secure the future of our state. Those angry about this alignment are only interested in their personal empires, not the collective good of Rivers people,” she added.

This statement is seen by political analysts as a direct message from the Odili family, confirming their solid support for Fubara’s new political direction.
