Wike To Bode George: You Have No Moral Authority To Accuse Others of Wrongdoing,You’re The Father Of Corruption

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elder statesman Bode George of being deeply involved in corruption.
The comments are the latest chapter in the public dispute between the two prominent PDP figures, over the years, both men have exchanged strong words over party leadership, internal disagreements, and the direction of the opposition party.
Their relationship became more strained during and after the political crisis that affected the PDP ahead of the 2023 general election, Wike and George often found themselves on opposing sides of debates concerning party unity, leadership decisions, and electoral strategy.
Wike made the allegation on Tuesday during a media briefing with selected journalists in Abuja, the minister spoke on several political issues, including the ongoing crisis within the PDP and his long-running disagreement with Bode George.
During the discussion, Wike claimed that George had no moral authority to accuse others of wrongdoing, according to him, the PDP leader frequently criticizes institutions and individuals whenever political events do not go in his favor.
The FCT minister went further by alleging that George’s residence in the Maitama area of Abuja was financed with funds that belonged to Rivers State, he insisted that his claim was true and challenged George to publicly refute the allegation with evidence.
“You don’t stay in one place and start saying something that is not correct. Anytime he loses, he will be calling judiciary corrupt, meanwhile he’s the father of corruption. Even the house he’s staying in at Maitama, Abuja is Rivers State’s money. I say so. Let him come out and prove me wrong,” Wike challenged.
