For over three years now, it’s been non stop visitations and showing charismatic gestures to the destitute. For Evangelist Adewale Abioye, a journalist turned evangelist and convener of Ignite Christian Movement, it’s not about money but ability to share and give to those who are in immediate need of the little you can offer.
“Our aim and objective of Ignite Christain Movement is to locate people who has no direction or who has lost hope even the ones the society has rejected thinking nothing good can come out from them.
“These are ones we are looking for to help and reshape their lives, give them hope and train them and finally to empower them to achieve their purpose on earth. This is our focus as a ministry.”
As they did last yuletide, the budding ministry even without grants or loans from sponsor took to the streets of Lagos to distribute palliatives to the masses and this according to Evangelist Adewale Abioye will be unveiling stage by stage.
This is the stage we are now with the help of God, just God and nobody.” He said.
Speaking to Metropolix Online, compassionate Abioye said he possesses, the natural quality of giving and even as a journalist, he doesn’t believe in extortion but giving to people.
“The idea of helping the destitute came after the completion of my course at I realized people are more concerned about seeking miracles even when they are hungry, they often rushed to any church where miracles happen yet most of them have no hope of feeding.
“All they are concerned about is miracle, bible even point this out in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.” It’s when you eat and satisfied that you can move around and get a job and start praying to God for miracle. Many have been deceived all in the name of miracles. I took it upon myself to cater for the needy first, pray for them and all other things will follow.”
