Eze-Elect, Umunna-Nsulu Autonomous Community, Onumegbu interface with Abia state Council of Traditional Rulers Chairman

The Umunna-Nsulu Autonomous Community comprising Mbubo, Ubaha and Umuosu in Isiala-Ngwa North LGA has applauded Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti for his giant strides in the development of Abia state, stating unequivocally with one voice, that one good turn deserves another.
According to a communique issued by the community after its Monthly Palace Council meeting held on 23rd of February 2026, the Council equally conveyed belated birthday felicitations message to Gov Otti on his 61st birthday, wishing him good health, protection and continued wisdom.
“Umunna-Nsulu Autonomous Community unanimously resolved to stand with the administration of His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, Executive Governor of Abia State, and hereby encourage the people of Umunna Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA and Abia State in general to stand by the Governor and ensure that he returns for a second term to enable him complete the socio-economic revolution he started in our dear State.
“Our Community appreciates his administration for its transformational leadership which has turned around Abia’s socio-economic fortunes and given birth to the New Abia phenomenon. This transformation is unlike anything ever witnessed since the creation of the State.
“We equally appeal to His Excellency to come to our aid by upgrading the deplorable old Aba Road (Ururuka Road) linking Aba – Obingwa – Nvosi – Nsulu and Umuahia, the State capital. This strategic road offers an alternative route and ensures smooth movement of goods and passengers to and fro, the ongoing construction of Abia Airport at Nsulu, to the State capital and the commercial city of Aba”, the communique stated.
The communique also appealed to the Governor to intervene in the electricity crisis that has bedeviled most communities in Nsululand, stating that 16 Communities, out of 23 have been without electricity for the past 3 years and mostly hit with darkness are the Abia Airport host communities.
The Council hailed the Eze-Elect of Umunna Nsulu Autonomous Community, Super High Chief Lucky Eze Onumaegbu for the courtesy visit extended to the Chairman of Abia State Council of Ndi Eze, HRM Eze Linus Nto Mba, the respected traditional ruler of Ihechiowa, Arochukwu Local Government Area, describing the move as a catalyst for unity, exchange of ideas and peaceful coexistence.
“Umunna Nsulu Autonomous Community Palace Council praised the sterling leadership qualities of the Abia foremost Traditional Ruler, HRM Eze Mba and applauded his involvement in strengthening the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council by fostering a smooth and cordial relationship between the traditional institution and Gov. Otti led administration.
The Council lamented the delay in the official hand over of the staff of office to the Eze-elect for Umunna Nsulu, regretting that it has created a huge leadership vacuum and shutdown leadership command chain which is affecting certain important decisions as the community is left with no seal of authority that can ensure accountability on actions within the autonomous community and urged the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Chief Uzor Nwachukwu and the Governor to take immediate action that will restore the dignity of the community.

Super High Chief Lucky Eze Onumaegbu and the Palace Secretary Chief Charles Ogbonna, also called “Zere Isi Gi 1” signed the communique on behalf of the palace.
