A discovery has eventually led to the arrest of one Oluwatobi Zainab Akinyele, a staff of well patronized and heavily stocked Honey Glow Beauty Shop situated at Galilee Avenue, Iju/Ishaga area of Lagos State.
The suspect in question who has since been arrested we gathered was employed just last year by the CEO, Mrs. Oyindamola Abiona. For months now, the founder said she has discovered a rapid drop in the array of products on display and being a conscious business woman she is, she decided to take a loan to further stock her shop, unknown to her that there’s a parasite amongst her staff who has been diverting company sales into her own personal accounts.
“I never suspected any foul play at first because I treat all my staff like family. Until last Saturday when a particular customer alerted me that she bought some products from us and had paid into an account different from the one we are using because the staff who attended to her claimed our POS machines were faulty .
” I asked her to send the new account and to my surprise, it bears Oluwatobi Zainab Akinyele. I didn’t get to know whose account it is, but the name Oluwatobi Zainab sounds very familiar, that was how we did inner investigation and we’re ppl pable to catch her.
This girl will sell products worth N100 thousand collected the money and record just N60 thousands, we discovered many stealing she has perfected and totalling N30 Million.
People advised me to take her to Panti, but being the kind of person I am, I decided to invite the police around Iju here to arrest her, so far over N30 Million worth of products have been missing.”
Aggrieved Mrs. Oyindamola Abiona while interrogating the suspect in a video, Oluwatobi Zainab confessed to the accusations and pleaded for pardon.
When asked what she has been doing with the money, the mother of twins kids said she was using the money to take care of her home front especially her kids.
Further investigation revealed that only N100,000 (One hundred thousand naira only) was found in her Moniepoint account. Investigation is still ongoing by the police to discover where she kept the remaining money.
