Apart from musicians that praise-sing him in their different songs, Ibrahim Dende who is popularly known as IBD Dende is not known in the political circle. Yet his immense contributions to the lives of people around him is overwhelming.
Another prominent Yoruba figure, Sunday Igboho, the popular Yoruba Nation agitator couldn’t hide his sincere appreciation when recently he revealed in an interview how the socialite, IBD Dende helped him just immediately he was released from Benin Cell after he was arrested by Buhari government then.
“Ibrahim Dende is a good person, when they released me from Benin Republic cell, Dende asked about my next destination.
I told him that I am traveling to Germany and he asked about the cost of my ticket.
I stated that it was 6 million, covering both my ticket and my wife’s.
He requested my bank account details and sent 20 million naira instead of 6 million, saying I might need the extra money for something else.
When oba Ladoja resolved my issue with President Tinubu, I was overjoyed, as if they were riding a horse in my mind.
Upon my initial arrival in Nigeria, the first person I met was Dende, who gave me another 10 million naira, which I am utilizing to host my visitors, as my bank account remains frozen by the government.
Anyone who don’t like Dende that means the person is under curse.” Igboho dropped.
