APC Re-elects Yilwatda, Basiru, Drops Three NWC Members,

The full list of the National Working Commitee(NWC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was released yesterday with three former members dropped to bring in three new faces
They are Dr. Benjamin Nwoye from Enugu State who is now Deputy National Chairman; Hon. Emeka Okafor from Anambra State, Deputy National Organizing Secretary; and Ambassador Haruna Ginsau from Jigawa State, Financial Secretary.
Nwoye replaces Emma Eneukwu, while Okafor takes over from Nze Chidi Duru, and Ginsau from Bashir Gumel.
However, National Chairman, Professor Prof Nentawe Yilwatda and National Secretary Ajibola Basiru retain their positions.
Other NWC members elected for a four-year term are: Hon. Abubakar Dalori (Borno), Deputy National Chairman (North); Prof. Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana (Nasarawa), Deputy National Secretary; Mu’azu Bawa Rijau (Niger), National Vice Chairman (North Central); Dr. Mustapha Salihu (Adamawa), Deputy Vice Chairman (North East) ; Hon. Mohammed Datti (Kaduna), National Vice Chairman (North West); Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu (Imo), National Vice Chairman (South East); Chief Hon Victor Ton Giadom (Rivers), National Vice Chairman (South South); and Isaac Kekemeke (Ondo), National Vice Chairman (South West).
Others are Barr. Muritala Aliyu Kankia (Katsina), National Legal Adviser; Uguru Matthew Ofoke (Ebonyi), National Treasurer; Suleiman M Argungun (Kebbi), National Organizing Secretary; Hon. Ignatus Nwapa (Abia), National Welfare Secretary; Barr Felix Morka (Delta), National Publicity Secretary;: Abdullahi Dayo Israel (Lagos), National Youth Leader; Tolu Bankole (Ogun), Special (Persons With Disability) Leader; Hon. Duro Meseko (Kogi), Deputy National Publicity Secretary; Hon. Zainab Ibrahim (Taraba), Deputy National Women Leader; and Hon. Hamma-Adama Ali Kumo (Gombe), Deputy National Financial Secretary.
Deputy National Officers, Six National Ex-officio officers, and Zonal officers elected at the six zonal congresses last Wednesday were also inaugurated with the NWC.
Yilwatda, in his acceptance speech, promised to live up to the confidence they reposed in him and the rest.
The Chairman said the new leadership would remain committed to unity, discipline, and strengthening internal democracy, stressing that the APC must continue to evolve as a platform for national development.
