As the 2027 governorship election gathers momentum, one formidable aspirant whose name has remained peculiar with the number one seat in Ogun State is Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as “Yayi.”

Yayi is no doubt a prominent Nigerian politician currently serving as the Senator for Ogun West Senatorial District. A key member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he is widely recognized as a leading aspirant for the 2027 Ogun State gubernatorial election, backed by significant grassroots support and development projects.

Even with the popularity he has garnered towards his ambition of rulling the gateway state, the guber hopeful has just told his supporters that he has not declared his intention to run for governoeship as he is still waiting for the party and other consultative process.

“I have been informed of the sighting of billboards and posters erected by supporters and groups in parts of the state soliciting support for my aspiration for Ogun 2027. As a loyal party man fully cognizant of the process and relevant tradition of the progressives family for the last 35 years, I am yet to declare my intention as I await the timetable of the party and other consultative process. Supporters should act in tandem with my tested brand of grassroots politics grounded in due process and rules.”

“I appreciates the time and money expended by my supporters in my cause and pledge that their valuable support will not be taken for granted.” He declared.
