Nigerian female politician and lawyer, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan who is representating Kogi Central Senatorial District under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) since November 2023 displayed her emotions in a written form as she penned emotional message to appreciate her husband’s support as she picked her nomination form for 2027 Senatorial seat to once again represent Kogi Central
As the first female senator from Kogi State Natasha has been involved in high-profile advocacy, including the resuscitation of the Ajaokuta Steel Mill and addressing a six-month senate suspension following a dispute over her seat in 2025.
In a piece she posted on her social media handles, she thanked her husband, High Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom for his unwavering supports during many controversies she witnessed in the Senate.
“My beloved husband,
If you had said no, I would not have taken this step towards the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial elections. But you did not. Instead, you looked into my heart, understood the depth of my purpose in consideration of our peoples’ calling and chose to stand firmly beside me.
By taking it upon yourself, out of your deep and unwavering belief in me, to purchase my 2027 senatorial nomination form, you did far more than support a political ambition. You affirmed a shared vision. You declared, without hesitation, that you are ready to walk this journey with me…through the campaigns,
through the elections,
and all the way to victory for our people.

High Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom, your action speaks volumes. It tells me that you understand the weight of this calling, the sacrifices it demands, and the resilience it requires. Despite the trials we faced in the 2023 elections; you have chosen courage over comfort, faith over fear, and purpose over ease.
For this my love, I thank you from the depths of my heart.
Know that I deeply respect your strength. I admire your steadfast commitment not just to me, but to the dream we share: a dream of uplifting our people through the true essence of democracy. Thank you for not growing weary. Thank you for seeing the bigger picture. Thank you for believing that from Kogi Central, our contribution to a greater Nigeria truly matters.
With all my love and respect,
Your Queen,
Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan
Kogi Central
