Arrested Abuja Kidnapper, Chinaza Sends Greetings, Mentions Tinubu During Interrogation (Video)

Notorious Abuja kidnapper, Chinaza Philip-Okoye, identified by his name as an indigene of the South-East, on Thursday, set tongues wagging while speaking about the crimes that got him arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.
Recall that he was on Saturday last week paraded at the Nigeria Police Force Intelligence Response Team base, Guzape, Federal Capital Territory, on a stretcher.
Reports say he had sustained serious injuries after he was shot by police officers following the interception of his gang at a filling station last week Thursday .
However, Mr Chinaza triggered mixed reactions on Thursday when he sent greetings to President Bola Tinubu before he began speaking about his crimes with the media.
“First of all I want to greet the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Bola Tinubu…I am not a kidnapper, I have never kidnapped anyone. I just helped the kidnappers to point guns at their victims. I was arrested alongside Chidibere..” Chinaza told the media.
Prior to now, the FCT Police Command had confirmed the arrest of Mr Chinaza Phillip and had shared his photo with the public alongside that of his gang members.
Chinaza and one of his gang members, Chidibere Nwodibo were arrested by police operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command on Thursday, 18th January, 2024.
According to the spokesman of the Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, the victim, one Segun Akinyemi, was kidnapped on Wednesday, January 17th at his residence located at FCDA Quarters Garki Abuja.
The police spokesman added that the victim was being taken to Kano State by the kidnappers before they were intercepted by police operatives who engaged them in a gun duel.
Mr Chinaza and his gang members were transiting through Kaduna in a grey Toyota Hilux van with registration number Abuja, RBC 90 DC, with four passengers and were blocked by the police; reports.
