Following the story published on Metropolix Online this morning where it was alleged that Ajiboye Akande, Personal Assistant to former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu has been fingered in the ongoing investigation of Adelabu sister’s kidnap alongside her two twin sons.
Ajiboye has come out to deny the widely spread allegations. This he has been circulating on his social media platforms. On his Facebook, Ajiboye wrote;
“To whom it may concern
It has come to our attention that some individuals have been spreading allegations linking Mr. Ajiboye Akande, Personal Assistant to Adelabu, to the unfortunate kidnapping of Adelabu’s sister and her twin sons.
We wish to state clearly that these allegations remain unsubstantiated and should not be treated as facts. At this time, no credible evidence has been publicly presented to prove that Mr. Ajiboye Akande had any involvement whatsoever in this criminal act.
It is unfair and irresponsible to condemn or malign an individual based solely on rumors, assumptions, or social media speculation. Matters of this nature are serious and should be left to the appropriate security agencies to investigate thoroughly and professionally.
Mr. Ajiboye Akande has consistently carried out his responsibilities with dedication and integrity, and it is wrong to tarnish his reputation without verifiable facts. We urge members of the public to refrain from spreading unverified information that may mislead others and cause unnecessary harm to innocent individuals.
We stand for truth, justice, and due process. Until proven otherwise by competent authorities, no one should be subjected to trial by public opinion.
We encourage everyone to support the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies and allow investigations to proceed without interference, prejudice, or unfounded accusations.”
