8 Bail Conditions That May Further Keep Elrufai In Prison

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was granted bail by the Federal High Court in Kaduna under the following conditions:
- A ₦200 million bail bond.
- Two sureties are required.
- Each surety must execute a ₦200 million bond.
- Each surety must own a property valued at ₦200 million.
- The property must be located in Kaduna Government Reserved Area (GRA).
- Each surety must provide proof of ownership of the property.
- Each surety must obtain and submit an attestation letter from the Kaduna State Traditional Council.
- The court must verify and approve compliance with all the bail conditions before El-Rufai can be released.
Recall that Nasir El-Rufai, is facing multiple trials in Kaduna related to alleged $N8.68bn financial fraud and abuse of office, as well as a separate trial for alleged wiretapping and security breaches. His court appearances and hearings have been ongoing
