Bandits Kill 5 Abducted Victims After Receiving Ransom In Kaduna

Tragedy has occurred in Budah Hausa Village, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State as bandits killed five abducted victims after they have collected ransom and drugs.

The bandits initially abducted 61 people, comprising 32 females and 29 males, from the community.
After spending three weeks in captivity, the bandits released 51 of the hostages, while holding the remaining five captives.

The abductors demanded additional ransom for the release of the remaining hostages.

Local sources have confirmed the release of the hostages, revealing that the victims, including children, suffered greatly during their captivity. Some of the released hostages were even unable to walk due to being chained for weeks.

Tragically, five of the captives, all men, were killed by the bandits.

Two of the released hostages were reportedly shot in the legs while in captivity.
Those whose condition worsened upon release have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The situation in Budah Hausa Village highlights the ongoing challenges posed by banditry and insecurity in the region, and underscores the need for concerted efforts to address these issues and ensure the safety and security of communities in Kaduna State.
