Fashola Reveals Benefits He Gets As Lagos State Former Governor

Former Minister of Works and Housing and ex-Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola clarified that his sole government financial benefit is a monthly pension of N577,000 as a former Lagos State governor.

Contrary to speculations, Fashola affirmed that he does not receive billions of naira from the federal government, addressing these rumours during his appearance on the Arise TV program “Perspectives” on Saturday.

When questioned about his incentives the former Minister of Works and Housing clarified that his sole government financial benefit is a monthly pension of N577,000 as a former Lagos State governor.

Contrary to speculations, Fashola affirmed that he does not receive billions of naira from the federal government, addressing these rumours during his appearance on the Arise TV program “Perspectives” on Saturday.

When questioned about additional benefits as a former public servant, he stated, “The only benefit I receive is a N577,000 monthly pension from Lagos State.

“Despite reports of substantial post-office earnings, I have consistently denied receiving billions.

“I am unaware of its duration, but I consistently receive N577,000 per month.”

Regarding benefits from the federal government, he unequivocally responded, “no.” additional benefits as a former public servant, he stated, “The only benefit I receive is a N577,000 monthly pension from Lagos State.
